Kansas City is buzzing with news of a roster update for the Royals. Infielder Nicky Lopez is coming from the minor leagues and people are excited. After the announcement that Whit Merrifield will be moved to outfield, it is suspected Lopez will come in to play immediately following his selection to the major leagues.

Nicku was born on March 13, 1995 in Naperville, Illinois. Lopez went drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 draft. He played college ball at Creighton.

In 2018, Lopez lead the Royals minor league players in hits with 155 and won the George Brett Award for the top play in their minor league.
